To the US of A now where, in Baltimore the usual Saturday morning shoppers and staff at a branch of Walmart had their normal day turned upside down. It all started in the cleaning materials aisle.

Two customers in the store got into a heated argument, which became a fight and then went completely off the scale when the pair started throwing bleach and disinfectant at one another. The police were called and they found two women fighting. However, the real problem was the reaction between the disinfectant and bleach, which caused toxic fumes and therefore the immediate evacuation of the store, which remained closed for several hours.

Add to that the necessity for the fire service, hazardous materials units, police and ten medics, who treated 19 people including three Walmart employees, one of whom had to be taken to a specialist eye unit to receive treatment.

So, what was all the fuss about? Well, one Theresa Monique Jefferson, 33, was doing her shopping when she spotted her ‘arch rival’ shopping in the same store. The second female is in a relationship with Jefferson’s ex, who is the father of her child.

A police spokesman said that Jefferson initiated the attack after following the victim and then deciding to attack her in the cleaning materials section.

Jefferson is being held on 350,000 dollars bail, charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, theft and criminal damage. But she is very clean…
