Site Outage 5th August
We lost the web page and email addresses due to a domain’s problem yesterday, resulting in the site being down virtually the whole day – which will play havoc with out site stats… and all over the princely sum of just 11 euros!
A bill wasn’t paid, one that should have gone through automatically via the bank and suddenly… we lose the lot. We spent most of yesterday on the phone with the company that handles the domain name, trying to get the site back up, emailing scans of ID cards and bank transfers, but even though payment was made and acknowledged by 2pm, the site didn’t come back online until near midnight – and all because of a piffling bill for 11 euros.
Off course, you spend ages on premium number calls, where they keep you waiting for the fun of it, and you just feel like saying, “Hey, you want money – just tell me how much you want and I’ll pay it but get the bloody site back on-line, now, and stop robbing me blind with these eternal calls.”
Sorry, but a rant now and then is good for stress levels, eh?
